Brittany Cartwright talks Jax Taylor’s cozy sighting with publicist

Jax Taylor’s estranged wife Brittany Cartwright has finally addressed his steamy sighting in Mexico with their publicist Lori Krebs.

Taylor and Krebs were seen holding each other while taking a dip in the pool last weekend at H๏τel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta.

Krebs – who had represented both Taylor and Cartwright for years – was with Taylor in Mexico as part of a group trip celebrating his 47th birthday.

After news broke of their indiscreet display, Cartwright fired Krebs, and a source disclosed the reality TV star was ‘very upset’ but ‘not surprised’ because she ‘could tell’ the bond between Krebs and Taylor ‘was more than client-rep,’ via People.

Now Cartwright has broken her silence on the scandal while interviewing her The Valley co-star Zack Wickham on her podcast When Reality Hits.

‘All I’m going to say about this at this moment is I will be speaking my truth – the truth – on this matter very soon whenever I’m ready,’ she said.

The Daily Mail has contacted Krebs, Taylor and Cartwright’s representative for comment.

‘As of right now, I am focusing on me and the most important thing in my life, which is my beautiful son,’ said Cartwright, who shares her little boy Cruz, five, with Taylor.

Explaining that she was ‘trying to protect my son and my peace,’ Cartwright teased that she would elaborate publicly on the controversy ‘very soon,’ adding: ‘I think everybody kind of understands what’s going on.’

Krebs and Taylor looked entirely wrapped up in each other when they were glimpsed in the pool last weekend, embracing chest-to-chest as they floated together. 

The twosome stayed close, hugged throughout the day, and were not trying to hide that they were together, according to a source who spoke with TMZ.

The pH๏τos have reportedly left Cartwright feeling ‘betrayed’ by Krebs, according to Page Six. 

A source noted that the Vanderpump Rules star is upset with her publicist rather than Taylor, explaining that she ‘doesn’t expect much from him at this point.’

‘When the Jax-Lori rumors first started swirling two years ago, Brittany chose to believe Lori that nothing was going on,’ a source told the publication.

‘She continued to work with her and trust her, and this is how Lori repays her?’

The insider added that Krebs always ‘inserted herself into moments that should be about her clients,’ but this time she ‘crossed a line she cannot come back from.’

The LoriK Public Relations founder has seemingly deactivated her Instagram account shortly before the pH๏τos surfaced on Monday.

It’s not the first time Taylor has been linked to the publicist.

Fans previously speculated about a potential spark between the pair all the way back in February 2024, after the reality star shared an affectionate pH๏τo alongside Krebs on Instagram.

Taylor and Cartwright shut down the romance rumors at the time. 

Taylor later denied the romance claims once again during the White House Correspondents Dinner, telling ET, ‘Oh, that, not again. That was all just hearsay, and it’s just a shame that that happened. But yeah, no, nothing happened there.’ 

He also denied that infidelity played a role in his split from Cartwright.

‘No no, and everybody just ᴀssumes when there’s a split there’s infidelity and there’s cheating. Believe it or not, there are other reasons too. I know I don’t have the best track record but no this was just a communication thing.’

Krebs specializes in ‘celebrity management and partnerships,’ per her website.

In addition to handling public relations for the Vanderpump Rules stars, her talent portfolio boasts celebrities from rival Bravo hit Southern Charm as well as prominent alumni from Bachelor Nation.

Months prior to Brittany filing for divorce, she had already revealed to the public that they had been living separately for months. 

Last year, Cartwright – who underwent a ‘mommy makeover’ – got candid about entering the dating scene as a single mom and called it ‘weird.’

‘I haven’t dated that much. I know it looks like it, but every person I freaking dated was in the news. I’m single as they come. We’ll see what happens,’ she told the Daily Mail at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas.

Cartwright also explained her marital woes and lack of intimacy with Taylor began to affect her self esteem.

‘I felt like I wasn’t good enough. If you start to feel like your partner doesn’t want you and they’re also being mean to you, it’s like, “What am I doing here?” I’m basically living with a roommate. I hit my breaking point,’ she told Us Weekly.

‘I don’t want to be unhappy for the rest of my life. I don’t want to be in a Sєxless marriage for the rest of my life. I don’t want to be arguing with my husband for the rest of my life.’
