Jelly Roll’s ex recalls how trolls poked fun at her IVF weight gain

Jelly Roll’s estranged wife Alyssa ‘Bunnie XO’ DeFord recalled the cruel comments she received from trolls about her weight while undergoing IVF treatments.

The couple, who confirmed their shock divorce last month after 10 years of marriage, began their in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey in 2024.

And as the Stripped Down author, 46, began gaining weight due to hormones, the country singer, 41, was in the midst of a total weight loss transformation.

He had previously tipped the scales at over 500lbs  but by November 2025, after major diet and exercise changes, he dropped down to his goal weight of 265lbs.

‘As I was going through IVF, it put weight on me,’ said Bunnie XO on Tuesday’s episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast.

‘And people would be like, “Oh, she’s bigger than her husband now!”‘

She continued, ‘You’re literally trying to make a baby with your body, and it’s like people just have no respect.’

‘As I was going through IVF, it put weight on me,’ the 46-year-old said on her Dumb Blonde podcast on Tuesday. ‘And people would be like, “Oh, she’s bigger than her husband now!”‘

Bunnie XO called the internet ‘so crazy’ and revealed what she has learned from the ordeal. 

‘I’ve learned that it’s just miserable people who have nothing better to do than just comment on other people’s lives. So you can’t ever let that get to you.’

Jelly Roll (born Jason Bradley DeFord) filed for divorce from Bunnie XO on May 18 in Tennessee, and he listed the date of separation as May 9, according to TMZ. 

And yet the three-time Grammy winner still ‘loves’ Bunnie XO and they vow to amicably co-parent their future child, who is incubating in ‘the most unselfish, sweetest’ surrogate.

The ‘most unconventional couple,’ who began trying to get pregnant in 2019, lost four embryos while trying to conceive together, which made them ‘trauma-bonded.’

‘We’re going to co-parent together,’ Bunnie XO said in her since-deleted June 18 episode.

‘J is my best friend. Like, this isn’t what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to the pair’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

The platinum blonde, who underwent a facelift in March, is now casually dating 24-year-old Dylan Wolf, who stars in the Netflix reality show Calabasas Confidential.
