RHONY star Carole Radziwill grilled over her ties to the Epstein files

The Real Housewives of New York City is returning for its 16th season in September, and it might be the most scandalous instalment of the series to date.

In an explosive trailer, returning cast member Carole Radziwill is questioned by one of her castmates over her name appearing in the Epstein files.

Radziwill, 62, appeared in a treasure trove of documents on the late financier and child Sєx trafficker Jeffrey Epstein due to her past friendship with his ᴀssociate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for child Sєx trafficking, knew Radziwill in the 2000s. 

In the RHONY trailer, Radziwill is heckled on the street over her name being mentioned in the Epstein files while filming a scene with castmate Erin Lichy.

Someone can be heard off camera exclaiming, ‘The Epstein files! She’s the one from the Epstein files!’

Radziwill mutters ‘who is that?’ as she looks around, while Lichy stands by with her mouth agape in total shock.

In the next scene, Sai De Silva questions Radziwill over her ties to Epstein and asks the What Remains author if she ever visited the infamous ‘Epstein island’. 

‘So you never went to this island?’ De Silva says, to which Radziwill quickly responds, ‘No!’ before asking, ‘You think I’m part of an international Sєx-trafficking ring?’

Daily Mail has reached out to comment. 

Radziwill has previously acknowledged knowing Maxwell, saying she was misled by the British socialite, who pH๏τographed the cover of her best-selling 2005 memoir What Remains.

Speaking with the New York Times this past March, Radziwill said of her link to Maxwell: ‘Imagine knowing someone… and then they turn out to be, like, a monster.’ 

She continued, ‘I was friends with her in the early 2000s, I don’t know, like, for five or six years.’

Radziwill said that the impression Maxwell left on her was not that of someone involved in illicit activity.

‘The thing about her that made it easy for me to spend any time with her at all was that she was very intelligent, she was educated,’ Radziwill explained.

Radziwill is back on The Real Housewives of New York City after quitting the show at the end of season 10 back in 2018 

She added, ‘If you lined up 10 women, and you asked, like, pick the woman who would be involved in an international Sєx trafficking ring, it would not be her.’

The widow of the late Prince Anthony Radziwill told the newspaper that she ‘never knew Jeffrey Epstein,’ but recalled seeing him in attendance at a cocktail party Maxwell threw.

Radziwill was one of a number of public figures whose name was included in materials released by the federal government, which drew from lists of contacts, emails and social engagements. Inclusion on the lists did not imply any wrongdoing.

Maxwell was convicted on charges of Sєx trafficking and conspiracy in 2021 and was sentenced in June of 2022. Epstein was found ᴅᴇᴀᴅ in his cell while in custody in New York City in August of 2019, amid looming similar charges. 

Radziwill was previously a cast regular on five seasons of The Real Housewives of New york City, lasting from Season 5 to Season 10.

She makes her long-awaited return to the franchise in the upcoming 16th season, but in a supporting role. 

A press release from Bravo teases Radziwill’s storyline this season, saying, ‘Never one to hold back, Carole settles into this group of familiar faces and new connections on her own terms. 

It continues, ‘But while focused on what lies ahead, an emotionally charged chapter from her past lands back in the headlines and forces her to confront something she thought she had left behind.’

Radziwill joins De Silva, Lichy and returning Housewife Jessel Taank, along with newcomers Hailey Glᴀssman, Erika Hammond and Daisy Toye.

Toye is famous for being Martha Stewart’s makeup artist, with Stewart herself even making a cameo on the Bravo reality show this upcoming season. 

The Real Housewives of New York City premieres on Tuesday, September 8 on Bravo.
